Description:
Interventions often fail because the client is not yet truly motivated for change. Motivational interviewing elicits intrinsic motivation and is highly effective in conjunction with Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). Participants will recognize language demonstrating readiness for change and learn how to integrate SFBT interventions to bring about lasting change.

Lindasue Marshall LCSW is a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a private psychotherapy practice in Salinas California. Since 1986 she has helped individuals, couples and families reduce anxieties, depression, deal with grief, adjustment to major life transitions and improve their relationships using innovative brief therapies. Lindasue enjoys doing couples counseling and utilizes John Gottman's research to focus on respectfully being able to dialogue about the difficult issues in life. She offers a highly personalized approach tailored to each of her clients individual needs to help them attain the personal growth they’re striving for. Together with the clients she works to develop strengths and achieve life goals. She is trained in Ericksonian hypnosis and can use hypnosis when appropriate to the case.
