Should we be focusing on evidence-based treatment techniques, interpersonal therapeutic skills, cultural competence, deliberate practice, scientific skepticism, fostering clients' strengths and resilience? Three seasoned clinical trainers reflect on the joys, challenges, and outcomes of preparing future psychotherapists.
