This workshop will offer a Semi-Structured Guide for interviewing couples, either together or individually, using hypnotic language and circular crossed questioning. A format will be given to lead the first and subsequent sessions. It will show how to construct questions, reframing and tasks using Ericksonian hypnosis and solution-focused therapy to get good results in about four sessions.
In this workshop, you will learn how to recognize and track troublesome trances that couples trigger in one another. You will discover how the utilization of these stuck psychological states can act as the point for subtle and precise therapeutic interventions. With the use of metaphor, this technique is minimally invasive and elicits maximal receptivity from clients.
The presentational will introduce a new and brief cognitive model for treating couples. It is a solution-focused model that proposes specific steps on how to differentiate types of love and how these impact an intimate relationship. The participants will develop strategies on how to effectively manage needs in an intimate relationship.
Infertility is devastating. Few have coping skills adequate enough to manage the intense physical and emotional demands of the experience, which can drag on without resolution for a long time. A didactic introduction will sensitize registrants to the gestalt of infertility. Effective treatment options with emphasis on letting-go techniques will be shared didactically and experientially.
This course will present concrete tools and methods of hypnosis to help couples end their habitual conflict escalation. Participants will learn the impact of affect dysregulation on relationships, client-friendly tools to enhance intimacy and connection, and how to rehearse and transfer skills from therapy to real life
This workshop will explore how the processes and variables of quantum physics can be integrated with mind-body hypnotherapy in the treatment of couples and organizations. The intention of the workshop is to support the expansion of trust within professionals to contain resistance and creatively focus attention, facilitating novelty, rapport, and opportunities for learning. The Erickson Resistance Protocol and Poincare's four stage creative process will be utilized to provide a template to develop internal yes sets for quantum principles, processes and variables. Emphasis will be placed on how the grandiosity and victim subsets of resistance, and the appreciation of intent and accountability are related to the quantum variables of momentum, motion, time, space and position.
Patsy and Josh are a volunteer couple, already in Emotionally Focused Therapy. They are further helped through an EFT session with Sue Johnson. Patsy, suffering from deep wounds of the past, is vulnerable and fearful, and often shuts down—even though she knows her actions prevent connection with Josh. Her husband tries to be caretaker and nurturer. Johnson helps them stay with emotion, expand their connection and shapes their interaction bringing both to a safer, more loving place.
