One of the most replicated findings in psychotherapy research is that therapists, unlike surgeons, usually don’t improve with practice: their treatment outcomes after 30 years are about the same on average as when they started. This Great Conversation will focus on how we might use a science-based approach to train the next generation of psychotherapists so that they do get better with practice.
