Description:

Waking Hypnosis was first described by Wells in 1924. Dr. Rosen will give examples of Milton Erickson having used it in his seminars. Participants will explore ways of maximizing their response to autosuggestions and then there will be discussion and practice of potential applications in everyday life.

Educational Objectives:

  1. To list three kinds of feedback indicating receptiveness to autosuggestions.
  2. To list five situations where waking self-hypnosis can be effective and helpful.

Sidney Rosen, MD, a board-certified psychiatrist and certified psychoanalyst (American Institute for Psychoanalysts), is the Founding President of the New York Milton H. Erickson Society for Psychotherapy and Hypnosis. He is the author of My Voice Will Go With You: The Teaching Tales of Milton H. Erickson and several papers on Ericksonian Therapy. He has been Invited Faculty at all 11 International Congresses and has given seminars and workshops internationally.
