Hypnoprojectives are a tool that can help us utilize the potentialities of the hypnotic process and enable our patients to do their own reframing. It can be used to expand awareness, shift perspectives and draw upon internal resources split off from conscious awareness. Attendees will be introduced to the use of Hypnoprojectives, learn two basic protocols and practice and discuss clinical applications.

Susan Dowell has been a clinical social work psychotherapist for over 35 years. She received her MSW from Boston University School of Social Work and a Masters Degree in Developmental Psychology from Teachers College at Columbia University.
Along with her general psychodynamic training, Susan has received advanced training in Clinical Hypnosis, Somatic Experiencing, Psychodrama, Brainspotting, EMDR, and Marriage and Family Counseling. She is the founder and developer of Footprintings, a dynamic new three dimensional treatment approach that provides effective and easy to use tools for identifying, observing, experiencing, and repairing the relational perspective between Ego States. A creative and innovative therapist, Susan draws from these varying approaches as a foundation for developing individualized treatment for each client with whom she works. Susan serves as a Vice President and an Approved Consultant in Clinical Hypnosis for ASCH (American Society of Clinical Hypnosis). She was Co-Director and Co-Founder of CATCH (Center for Advancement of Training in Clinical Hypnosis) and will now be offering hypnosis training with Transforming Possibilities (See Classes Page). Susan trains health and mental health professionals both in the practice of Clinical Hypnosis and in the practice of Footprintings.
