Various frameworks for hypnotic induction will be explained, demonstrated, and practiced during this portion of the training.
Educational Objectives:
- Cite three useful aspects of the eye fixation technique.
- Explain reasons why a counting technique is appropriate for anxious subjects.
- Define “fractionation” and discuss its use in induction.

Brent B. Geary, Ph.D. is a psychologist in private practice in Phoenix, Arizona. Since 1988, he has also been the Director of Training for the Milton H. Erickson Foundation.
