Description: This clinical demonstration works directly with harsh inner voices and negative self-talk, showing how subtle shifts in location, tone, and relationship to the voice can soften its impact. Through live experiential work, the session illustrates how grief, perfectionism, and self-criticism can be transformed into supportive inner guidance, emotional reconnection, and greater freedom of choice.
Syllabus Description: Negative Self-talk is a trigger for a huge variety of problematic behaviors and responses, from anger to depression. A wide variety of extremely brief nonverbal and verbal interventions will be demonstrated for altering these messages in ways that redirect attention in more positive directions, and elicit more useful responses.
