Description

Couples therapists have more conversations and treatment options than before, including discussions about relationship structures as well as sexuality. Participants will have the opportunity to hear about different approaches to couples therapy and relationship structures and ask any questions they may have.

  1. Participants will learn about three different relationship structure modalities and develop skills in treating couples who utilize these structures.
  2. Participants will learn a key component of making and keeping agreements that can be strengthened in therapy
  3. Participants will define open monogamy and learn critical interventions for flexibility and fluidity in relationship agreements to improve treatment outcomes with couples in conflict

Rick Miller, MSW, is a clinical social worker in private practice in Boston and on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. He is the author of Unwrapped: Integrative Therapy with Gay Men… the Gift of Presence (2015). Rick has served on numerous national and international faculties, including the International Society of Hypnosis, the Brief Therapy Conference, the American Group Psychotherapy Association, and Harvard Medical School.
