How can we optimize classical yoga with Ericksonian mind-body work? This experiential workshop utilizes Ericksonian approaches with the entire audience as well as individual volunteers. Through story and movement we will access new dimensions of our emerging consciousness with the 4-stage creative psychosocial
genomic cycle. Open for all fitness levels.
Rapid Interpersonal Neural Integration packages the essential elements from the works of Milton Erickson, Fritz Perls, Virginia Satir, Jeffrey Zeig, and Ernest Rossi to facilitate lasting change through rapid neural integration. The mindsets and blind-spots identified through the interview process and observations guide the therapist as to how the mindsets and blind-spots need to be refined. The therapist then helps the client transform the flow of energy and information away from blockages and distortions by addressing the fear(s) underlying and feeding the mindsets and blind-spots.
BT16 Short Course 30 - A Better Life Through Neuroscience and the Human Touch: Havening - Carol Nack, MSW, David Chametsky and Ira ScottIntroducing an extraordinary application of a recently acquired knowledge in the field of neuroscience. The techniques described are based in evolutionary biology. They offer a person the opportunity to live a healthier, hopefully happier, and more productive life. Long standing psychological problems are resolved and disturbing memories fade into the irretrievable past, just a story that lacks the previous affect.
Biological anthropologist Helen Fisher discusses three brain systems that evolved for mating and reproduction: the sex drive; feelings of intense romantic love; and feelings of deep attachment to a long term partner. She then focuses on her brain scanning research (using fMRI) on romantic rejection and the trajectory of love addiction following rejection. She concludes with discussion of the brain circuits associated with long-term partnership happiness and the future of relationships in the digital age—what she calls “slow love.”

Now that you understand the neuropsychology of attachment, how are you going to use it in a session where one partner is yelling at the other for abandoning him/her who is in turn trying to take refuge under the coach? Learn how to put theory into practice using an experiential approach to explore old neural circuitry around attachment and build new pathways. We will be using the present moment and mindfulness integrated into therapy to slow things down and rewire the brain.
Milton Erickson did fascinating work with deep states of hypnosis. Neuroscience has caught up to what he knew; that the mind/brain reorganizes memory and develops creative solutions in deep states of trance. In these deep states, the brain releases a neuropeptide called "anandamide," a Sanskrit word for bliss, which has healing qualities for difficult problems. This demonstration shows a method for accomplishing this healing state.

How a clinician thinks about the nature of depression and answers fundamental questions - such as what causes depression - naturally determine what treatment approach he or she is most likely to take. Regardless of one’s preferred orientation, however, depression experts agree that treatment needs to be multi-dimensional and active. Furthermore, the more we learn about the neuroscience of depression, especially neuroplasticity and neurogenesis, the more important well designed experiential learning processes become in treatment.
Current research in psychosocial genomics is reviewed to underpin a new evolutionary RNA/DNA epigenomic theory of the quantum transformations of consciousness and creative cognition. The alternating classical-to-quantum and quantum-to-classical transitions on all levels from mind to gene are explored for developing an understanding of how the 4-stage creative process operates in an evolving cosmos/consciousness field theory.
