Description:

Michael will present a range of maps of narrative practice. This will include maps for "getting started"; maps for the "middle journey"; maps for the "intersecting journeys" of fellow travelers; maps for finding the "valued pathways"; and maps for the negotiation of "difficult territories."

Educational Objectives:

  1. To identify the primary categories of inquiry of the definitional ceremony, re-authoring conversations, re-remembering conversations and externalizing conversations maps for therapeutic practice.
  2. To describe three specific applications of these maps, as illustrated in the workshop.

MICHAEL WHITE, B.A.S.W., is Director of Dulwich Centre, Adelaide, South Australia. He is engaged in the provision of therapeutic services, in teaching and supervision and in working with communities. He has published numerous articles and several books on the subject of narrative therapy.
