Art of Psychotherapy with Dr. Jeffrey Zeig - Experiential Series Class 3 - Sadness and Grief
Original Program Date :
Length: 2 hours 22 minutes

Description:

The presenting problem for Class 3 is an issue with expressing sadness and grief. Our demonstration subject feels blocked in being able to express sadness and grief, even with himself. The goal for the session is to create a sense of emotional freedom. By using metaphor, multi-level communication, and even a little bit of singing, Dr. Zeig makes this therapy session happen simply by the virtue of their interaction. In the end, the focus shifts from simply being able to express sadness to being more authentically real. In Class 4 we follow up and find that our client gained a better sense of freedom with himself, and explored the evocative nature of music more deeply.
