EP20 Workshop 25 - Working with a 3-P Framework of Consciousness in Psychotherapy - Daniel Siegel, MD
Original Program Date :
Length: 2 hours

Description:

This workshop will explore the findings from a 10,000-person survey of a mind-training practice, the Wheel of Awareness, and how they can inform an understanding of the mind, mental health, and the transformative power of harnessing consciousness in psychotherapy. Workshop participants are encouraged to practice the Wheel of Awareness before the event so that their own direct experience can be compared and contrasted to the findings of the survey and then applied to their own practice of psychotherapy.

Educational Objectives:

  1. Name the differentiated components of consciousness
  2. Identify six health promoting somatic changes that Three-Pillar mind practice has been shown to create
  3. Summarize the 3-P framework of consciousness and its relationship to the science of energy
  4. Outline the key facets of integration that are embedded in the Wheel of Awareness practice
  5. Describe the differences between attention and awareness
  6. Name four neural changes associated with Three-Pillar practice
